Pranassage® is a one-on-one yoga experience with hands on assistance that will guide you towards deep relaxation. You will experience the lightness of your being through gravity and pressure while slowly flowing through various asanas (postures). Pranassage calls upon breath, touch and postures to bring Prana into our conscious awareness. Prana is the vital energy force sustaining the life and creation and it is involved in physical, mental and spiritual health and strength. One of the goals of a yoga practice is to free up the Prana within the body. Through touch, pressure, breath work and postures Prana is made easier to feel. In a state of deep relaxation, the conscious mind in no longer holding back the flow of Prana.
Through Pranassage, you will be able to experience deep conscious relaxation and physical relief. The mind is directed inward to witness the experience in the present moment and the body is able to let go and open up. Pranassage is available to all. Each session is tailored to your specific needs and to your level of yoga experience. Pranassage appeals to people with no previous yoga experience as well as the seasoned practitioner of yoga or other active forms of body-mind integration.
As the receiver, you should arrive in long loose fitting or stretchy pants and a comfortable top. I recommend not eating a large meal 2-3 hours before your scheduled appointment.
I have been offering Pranassage professionally since 2005.
I'm kicking myself for not keeping track of all of my hours of giving massage therapy sessions. If you were to ask me how many I've given thus far… I think I'm somewhere in the 10,000 hours range. Not kidding. While I typically give 60 minute sessions, sometimes a 30 minute or 90 minute will pop onto my schedule. Over the last sixteen years I've worked in a variety of settings: chiropractic office, day spa, yoga and wellness center, individuals homes, retreats, sporting events, fundraising events... that's the beauty of massage therapy is that you can pretty much offer it anywhere. All ages, athletes, car accident victims, prenatal, no matter where you are in life, I have seen how massage therapy can be wonderfully healing and a modality that brings back balance to all levels of the self. Body, Mind and Spirit.
I am nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork (NCTMB) and certified in Reiki I by the Usui System of Natural Healing. I've taken over one hundred hours of continuing education specifically on Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Emotional Release through the Upledger Institute in Florida.
