Blooma's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training is all about finding the goddess inside. You will be trained in a sequence that is specifically designed to empower and prepare women for birth. Join founder and owner of Blooma- Sarah Longacre, and director Stacy Seebart in this amazing teacher training that has gone international!

Blooma's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training will take you through a journey. It's more than just another yoga training. Sarah and Stacy lead each training with the intention that each individual will be able to have their own experience in finding their voice. The training provides an abundance of information about labor and birth. In addition to this, we explore why YOGA is beneficial for this stage in a woman's journey. Drawing from a rich history of birthing wisdom, this training includes: the birthing community, inner wisdom, prenatal body knowledge, anatomy, wellness, introduction to childbirth education philosophies, the energy system of the chakras, and of course the depth of the ancient practice of yoga. 

During Blooma’s training you’ll learn far more than how to teach modifications for pregnancy. You’ll learn about the emotional and physical challenges a woman undergoes during labor and childbirth—and how her prenatal yoga classes can help prepare her for that journey. You’ll also explore your own beliefs surrounding birth, taking time to journal and share with others in your training. We’ll practice together, take turns teaching, and developing confidence as teachers. Blooma is unique in that there are very few locations around the world that offer Yoga Alliance approved prenatal yoga education.

Drawing from her core belief in the inner strength of women and the power of the breath, Sarah will share stories and wisdom from both her years of teaching prenatal yoga and from the hundreds of births she has attended as a doula. Stacy will share her knowledge of yoga, meditation, and mindful listening exercises both physically and energetically. They will teach you how to incorporate these techniques into your classes.

You’ll leave prepared to lead a beautiful prenatal practice that builds a mother’s confidence, strength, connects her to baby, and uplifts her mind, body, and spirit.

Thursday: 6:00pm-9:00pm at Blooma Minneapolis
Friday: 9:00am-6:00pm at Blooma St. Paul
Saturday: 8:00am-6:00pm at Blooma Minneapolis
Sunday: 8:00am-3:00pm at Blooma Minneapolis

Prerequisites: 
1. Ten hours of participation/observation at Blooma's Prenatal Yoga Classes (included in your tuition)

2. Read and write a review of Active Birth by Janet Balaskas
3. Read and write a review of Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin

Kripalu - Massachusetts Blooma's Level 1

Drawing from a rich history of birthing wisdom, this training includes anatomy, wellness information, and an introduction to childbirth education philosophies, and explains how prenatal yoga helps women prepare for labor and childbirth. Explore your own beliefs about birth, practice with others, and take turns teaching so you can return home confident and ready to lead prenatal yoga classes.

Prerequisites 10 hours of participation/observation of Be Blooma Well: Prenatal Yoga + More (DVD) and/or Blooma’s A.M./P.M. Prenatal Yoga (DVD) is due within two months of completing Level 1, but you are encouraged to complete prior to the training.

Required reading Janet Balaskas Active Birth: The New Approach to Giving Birth Naturally; Ina May Gaskin Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. (Please read and write a review of each book).

■ This program may be taken as part of Kripalu’s 1000-Hour Yoga Teacher Training or as a standalone program. Level 1 training is being offered twice in 2017; Level 2 training will be offered in 2018.
